Mr. Konie Samuel, Secretary for National Planning & Monitoring
“The Development Information System (DIS) aligns our planning, monitoring, and evaluation into one secure, modern platform—so decisions are faster, evidence-based, and focused on results for Papua New Guinea.”
— Mr. Koney Samuel, Secretary, Department of National Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation

The Development Information System (DIS) is the national platform that brings together programme planning, monitoring, evaluation, and analytics across government. It comprises three web applications: the DIS Admin app for the Department of National Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation to administer users, agencies, data structures, and governance; the DIS Agency app for sector reporting agencies to submit and manage Indicator and KRA information; and the DIS Analytics app, which delivers dashboards, charts, and curated datasets for deeper analysis and reporting.

DIS is engineered for security and scale. It integrates enterprise Single Sign-On and Single Logout (SSO/SLO), encrypts data in transit and at rest, and enforces role-based access across the suite. A robust, microservices-based architecture underpins high availability and horizontal scalability, ensuring the platform can grow with national needs. Together, these capabilities provide a trusted foundation for evidence-driven policy, transparent performance tracking, and timely insights for both central agencies and sector partners.

Note that the DIS system is in it's prototype phase and the data displayed is not accurate.
